You know the moment: a rider raises a hand. Flat tire! In a flash, the wheel change happens from the team car and the peloton races on. But for that tire, it seems the race is over. Or… is it?

Where the race ends, a new story begins. This tire doesn’t say goodbye, it gets a second life. The bicycle tire used for this belt has earned its stripes in racing. Over cobblestones, through rain and mud, in service of our riders such as Wout van Aert, Marianne Vos, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, and Matteo Jorgenson. Instead of being discarded after a wheel change, the rubber of this race-used tire gets a second life as a belt.
