“Unfinished business.”
Those were the words Wout van Aert used to describe his mission for La Vuelta 2026. Two years earlier, he looked set to claim the green jersey until a heavy crash brought his Vuelta to an early end. In 2026, he returned to finish what he had started.
From stage 7 onwards, Wout wore the iconic green jersey. Three weeks later, he crowned himself winner of the points classification at La Vuelta 2026. A special victory and the completion of his unfinished business.
