Dylan Groenewegen has finished just outside the podium in the third stage of the Tour of Guangxi. The rider from Team LottoNL-Jumbo sprinted to the fourth place in the stage on a local circuit in Nanning.

 “The whole stage was controlled by Sepp”, sports director Grischa Niermann said. “The sprint preparation wasn’t ideal, but in the end, Dylan was in the right position to sprint. Maybe he started his sprint a little too early. Jakobsen passed him with a lot of speed in the final metres and won the stage.”

Tomorrow the stage will finish uphill. “Sepp and Neilson can go for their chances. On Saturday and Sunday, there will probably a sprint again”, Niermann added.
