Groenewegen third in second stage Tour of Guangxi

Dylan Groenewegen has sprinted to the third place in the second stage of the Tour of Guangxi. The sprinter of Team LottoNL-Jumbo came short in the bunch sprint. Thanks to today’s third place and yesterday’s victory, he remains the leader in the Chinese World Tour race.

“Dylan started his sprint wit 250 metres to go, but that was too early. Ackermann and Jakobsen passed him in the last 25 metres”, sports director Grischa Niermann said. The peloton rode in bad weather during the stage from Beihai to Ginzou. “It was pretty cold and it was raining all day. Afterwards, Dylan said that the weather conditions had had impact on his legs.”
