Peloton BinckBank Tour once again surprised by breakaway

In the fifth stage of the BinckBanck Tour, the peloton has once again been surprised by the breakaway. As a result, Team LottoNL-Jumbo wasn’t able to score a top result.

“It’s a pity that we weren’t able to sprint for the victory. Just like two days ago, the breakaway did very well”, sports director Nico Verhoeven said. “It’s understandable that Dylan didn’t sprint today. He couldn’t win anymore. Although his condition is good after his crash in the Tour. Too bad that we didn’t succeeded yet this week. So far, we’ve had a very good year, both the team and Dylan. We always want to win, but the fact that it doesn’t turn out well this week, doesn’t affect Dylan’s career, nor does it affect our season.”
