Preview Flèche Wallonne and Liège-Bastogne-Liège

La Flèche Wallonne is the second race in the series of the Ardenne classics. In the persons of Robert Gesink and Laurens De Plus, Team Jumbo-Visma has strong climbers lined-up for the race. By tradition, La Flèche Wallonne finishes on Mur de Huy. Four days later, our riders will start in Liège-Bastogne-Liège.

Sports director Addy Engels: “We’re going for a good result in this World Tour classic. La Flèche Wallonne mostly follows the same script: a tight race until Mur de Huy. That’s where the race most likely will be decided. It’s our goal to reach the final with a ‘fresh’ Robert and Laurens. Robert will use his experience to decide wether he’ll wait until the Mur de Huy or that he’ll anticipate the preceding climb. Laurens will wait for his moment until the final kilometres. The course of Liège-Bastogne-Liège has changed a lot. We’ll do the recon this Friday.”
