Roglic finishes third overall in the Tour of Britain

Primoz Roglic finished third overall in the Tour of Britain today in London. A bunch sprint closed the final stage. With Neilson Powless (7th) and Pascal Eenkhoorn (10th), Team LottoNL-Jumbo counted two other riders in the top ten of the overall standings.

LottoNL-Jumbo also took the team classification in addition to Roglic's third place.

"We achieved all our objectives," Sports Director Jan Boven said. "We won a stage, finished with three guys in the top 10 of the rankings and we won the team classification. That is really beautiful.

"We wanted to show ourselves by racing attractive and we succeeded in that. Especially our youngsters Neilson Powless and Pascal Eenkhoorn did very well!"

Boven was not completely at ease before the final stage given the bonus seconds on offer.

"You always have to pay attention. There were still enough of those seconds so that in theory, it was still possible that Primoz could finish fourth. But the team did a perfect job. It was a battle until the finish."
