Successful test for Roosen in individual time trial Algarve

Timo Roosen has ended a solid time trial as 27th in Volta ao Algarve’s third stage. It was an important test for the 25-year-old rider regarding  the upcoming spring classics. The rider from the Dutch town of Goirle started the season very well; he played an important role in both victories of Dylan Groenewegen.

Roosen rode a good individual time trial. “Timo went full out today”, sports director Merijn Zeeman knew. “He was well prepared and showed his technical skills during today’s time trial. It was a difficult course with quit a lot of vertical metres, but Timo did a decent job. Prologues usually suit him better, but he showed himself in a good way. It has been a successful test for him with the spring classics coming up.”

The team hopes to compete for the victory again tomorrow. “First of all, we’ll have to wait and see wether the final will result in a bunch sprint. If that is the case, we’ll have a good chance with Dylan. Hopefully, we can keep up the good work.”
