Team Jumbo-Visma keeps sight on top ten place in Arctic Race of Norway

Team Jumbo-Visma keeps sight on a top ten in the overall standings after the third stage in the Arctic Race of Norway. On the tough final climb to Storheia, Floris De Tier (13th) and Amund Jansen (14th) competed in the front for a long time.

With tomorrow's final stage ahead, De Tier is eleventh overall at 54 seconds from leader Warren Barguil. Jansen is twelfth at 56 seconds.

After a fast start to the stage, a leading group with Danny van Poppel for Team Jumbo-Visma got established. The five got a maximum of four minutes, but were reeled in in the last five kilometers.

"It was a tough climb," De Tier said. “The stage could have been a bit more difficult for me in the run-up to that climb. I prefer a tougher race with such a finish. We rode an offensive stage as a team and with Danny in the leading group everything went according to plan. All in all, it was quite a good day. "

Jansen concurred De Tier about the climb. “It was really tough with averages above ten percent. Such percentages are a little too steep for me regarding my physique. Although I did give it a shot. It was a nice attempt and the legs felt good. ”
