Road Race (Men)

Christophe Laporte secured the silver medal at the world championships in Australia. The Frenchman came back into the battle for silver and bronze in the closing stages of the race behind the untouchable Remco Evenepoel and did not let this opportunity go unused. A strong sprint took Laporte to silver, just ahead of teammate Wout van Aert who finished fourth. Pascal Eenkhoorn was on the attack for a long time, but fell just short of a place of honour.
