The World Championships have started with the Time Trials and the Mixed Relay. The riders of Team Jumbo-Visma achieved beautiful results again, so a great photo album is essential, of course!

A more beautiful farewell doesn't exist. Der Panzerwagen took gold with Germany in his last race as a professional cyclist. Jos van Emden, Koen Bouwman and Riejanne Markus won silver for the Netherlands. Jos’ biggest fan was thrilled about it. Edoardo Affini took the bronze medal with Italy, while Anna Henderson finished fifth with Great Britain.

Wout van Aert gave it his all in the 43.3 kilometre time trial, but fell just short of victory. Tony Martin and Edoardo Affini finished sixth and ninth. Jos van Emden participated for the Netherlands.

Riejanne Markus finished her first World Championship time trial in a creditable ninth place. Julie Van de Velde competed for Belgium.
