In pictures: how Ferrand-Prévot secured our first overall Tour de France Femmes victory

The first six stages were a great warm-up for the Tour de France Femmes finale weekend where the riders faced some serious Alpine climbs. Team Visma | Lease a Bike Women was sharp in the first mountain stage but all eyes were soon on the queen stage featuring the Col de la Madeleine. There Pauline Ferrand-Prévot struck decisively after strong teamwork and secured the win and grabbed the yellow jersey. On Sunday she did it all over again by powering to a second solo victory and sealing her overall win. Check out the best photos here!

Stage 7: Team Visma | Lease a Bike Women sharp in first mountain stage

In the first stage of the final weekend, the riders faced a tricky finale with several categorized climbs. The yellow and black team was alert and ensured Ferrand-Prévot was in an ideal position heading into the final phase. This way, she didn’t lose any  time ahead of the two tough mountain stages to come.

Stage 8: Ferrand-Prévot strikes on the Col de la Madeleine

The day everyone was watching: the queen stage. After a relatively calm start, the battle erupted on the tough Col de la Madeleine. Ferrand-Prévot quickly showed her strength by effortlessly responding to attacks from her rivals. With just over eight kilometers to go, she launched her own decisive attack. No one could follow. She powered to the stage win and claimed the yellow jersey. Thanks to her phenomenal performance, she started the final stage with a lead of over two minutes in the general classification.

Stage 9: Ferrand-Prévot adds shine to yellow jersey with another win

Despite her comfortable lead, the tough final stage was far from a formality. Ferrand-Prévot was perfectly positioned by her teammates at the foot of the first serious climb, where she once again showed her class. She held firm and unleashed a ruthless attack on the final uphill stretch, then rode solo to victory. With this, she added extra shine to our team’s very first Tour de France Femmes win.
