Baruzzi takes next step in career with Team Visma | Lease a Bike Development

Francesco Baruzzi will compete for Team Visma | Lease a Bike Development for the next two years. The 18-year-old Italian is looking forward to further developing himself as an athlete within the team.

Baruzzi is currently still racing in the junior category and has stood out this year with victories in various Italian national races. In addition, he claimed two wins in Nations Cup races in Italy and the Czech Republic.

“Francesco is a strong rider with plenty of room for progression,” explained Head of Development Robbert de Groot. “He is fast at the finish, but can also handle a challenging course. We got to know him better during our recent training camp in Rogla, where he had already joined us. We look forward to truly starting to work together from next season.”

Baruzzi himself is excited to take the next step in his cycling career with Team Visma | Lease a Bike Development. “Team Visma | Lease a Bike is one of the best cycling teams in the world, so I am very proud to become part of it from next year. My first goal is to further develop myself as an athlete within the team’s well-organised structure. I believe I can still make a lot of progress in all areas.”
