Team manager Esra Tromp leaves Team Jumbo-Visma Women

Esra Tromp, manager of Team Jumbo-Visma Women, will leave the team at the end of May. She will be replaced by Rutger Tijssen, who has been the team's sports technical director since August. Over the past 18 months, Tromp has also been responsible for all operational matters of the Jumbo-Visma cycling teams.

After two and a half years of employment with Team Jumbo-Visma, Tromp is now looking to the future. "I look at my departure with mixed feelings", Tromp said. "Of course I am proud of what I have achieved. Building and developing a new professional team from scratch was difficult, but I succeeded. I want to express my gratitude to Jumbo-Visma for their belief in me and for giving me the chance to take on this challenging position. I will miss the challenge and the colleagues and partners I have worked with. Over the past years, I have gained valuable experience and developed myself. I look back on a very good time."

"We want to thank Esra for her dedication and the productive two and a half years she spent with us. She built and developed the Women's Team so that the team now has a place in the Women's WorldTour. We wish Esra all the best for the future," said Richard Plugge, general manager of Team Jumbo-Visma.
