Foss finishes Tour de Hongrie in fifth place

Foss finishes Tour de Hongrie in fifth place

Tobias Foss has finished fifth in the last stage of the Tour de Hongrie. This ensured the 23-year-old Norwegian rider of the fifth place in the general classification.

The team lead by sports director Sierk Jan de Haan had been competing at the front of the race in Hungary the past few days. After the flat stages, it was time for some climbing today. Team Jumbo-Visma actively rode in the front all day and took the lead of the peloton from the start of the final climb. In the last kilometres, Foss had to chase when the peloton attacked.

‘’We started today with a plan and everyone was dedicated to it. We rode for the win and everyone did their very best. As a team we rode superbly today. I didn’t have the legs to follow the best in the last kilometres, but we tried and we gave all we had”, Foss said.
