Jumbo-Visma Women with two riders in top ten Omloop van Borsele

Team Jumbo-Visma Women was unable to leave an indelible impression in the Omloop van Borsele. The race on the roads of Zeeland did not get the forecasted wind, which meant that the race took a long time to get going. Linda Zanetti soloed to the win. Noemi Rüegg (seventh) and Nienke Veenhoven (tenth) sprinted for the honours.

The race in 's-Heerenhoek was familiar territory for Rosita Reijnhout. The Dutchwoman was racing in her own backyard. "It was cool to see so many familiar faces along the way. That always gives you a special feeling. You want to show yourself, even if today's race was not spectacular", the 19-year-old rider said.

"In the end, we just missed the battle"

"The wind stayed away, so our plan to make the race hard early on didn't really work out", said Reijnhout. "It was a frantic course with lots of crashes. The most important thing today was positioning and cooperation. I believe we did both well. In the end, we just missed the battle, so we didn't fight for the win. Nienke and Noemi were caught up in the sprint, so our best result was seventh place. Although it could have been more, we have learned from this race. We will take this with us for the upcoming races."
