We are looking for a dedicated and experienced mechanic to join our cycling team. As an integral part of our support team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all our bikes are in optimal condition so that our riders can deliver their best performance in every race.
In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks, including maintenance, emergency repairs and post-race inspections. You will also work closely with our riders and sports directors to customize bikes to individual needs and preferences, ensuring optimal performance.
The mechanic has the following tasks:
- Support during the race in the race cars. If a rider has technical problems, you will provide support in this;
- Repairs and maintenance after the race: you will maintain the bikes, check them and repair any damage;
- Preparation and organization of spare parts. Making sure there are plenty of spare parts available in the race cars, such as wheels, tyres, and other important parts;
- Transporting the bikes and equipment to different stages or races and making sure everything arrives on time and in good condition;
- Building and maintaining our bikes. In 95% of the cases, this concerns bikes for our road races. Very occasionally, you will be asked to help maintain and build bikes for off-road disciplines;
- Working together with the team. You will communicate with the sports directors and riders about the requirements and conditions of the bikes.
You will bring the following:
- At least 3 years' work experience as a mechanic and knowledge of building road bikes;
- Preferably knowledge and experience of working with SRAM group sets;
- Driving license B is a must, driving license C and/or D is a plus;
- Willing to work flexible hours and be away from home for longer periods of time;
- Able to work closely, efficiently and under pressure;
- Good communication skills;
- Proficiency in English.
We offer:
- A unique and challenging job in a dynamic High Performance environment, where you will be part of one of the best cycling teams in the world;
- You will work in an enthusiastic and very ambitious team of mechanics where there is room for personal growth and development;
- You will be part of and involved in our innovative approach to material improvements;
