For Koen Bouwman, the 2022 Giro is one to remember. After great teamwork with Tom Dumoulin, it is Bouwman who wins the seventh stage. To make it all even more beautiful, he also wins the nineteenth stage. Thanks to all the mountain points earned, the Dutchman may enter the podium in Milan to receive the accompanying blue mountain jersey! That Bouwman can climb quite well, as the then-23-year-old rider already proved in the 2017 Dauphiné with a stage win and victory in the mountain classification.
