Epic Ride Weather is now Team LottoNL-Jumbo’s official supplier. The team is using Epic Ride Weather to inform race-day tactics, aid preparedness and improve training.

Team LottoNL-Jumbo has a long history of collaborating with meteorologists and using weather data to their advantage, but this marks their first foray into cloud-based computation and algorithms.  By combining multiple forecasts with precise GPS-based location and timing data, Epic Ride Weather provides a complete view of the weather for the entire race. 

"With Epic Ride Weather we get perfect information about the weather along the race routes”, Sports Director Grischa Niermann explains. “It provides very accurate forecasts for temperature, wind and precipitation for every point of the route with just a single click.  Detailed forecasts from Epic Ride Weather have become essential in planning our race tactics and strategy, especially in cases where wind direction and intensity are likely to influence the outcome."

With results such as (Enrico Battaglin's stage 5 win) in the Giro d'Italia and (Primoz Roglic's overall classification win) in the Tour de Romandie, the partnership is off to a great start.

This new partnership between Team LottoNL-Jumbo and Epic Ride Weather is good for Epic Ride Weather users, since the team is applying their expertise in professional cycling to help improve Epic Ride Weather.  As a result of conversations with the team, recent updates include more choices for wind and precipitation units, and weather chart map markers.
