Video: Christophe Laporte's comeback story

After missing the spring classics last year, Christophe Laporte, winner of Gent-Wevelgem and Dwars door Vlaanderen 2023, makes his comeback during the 2026 Belgian Opening Weekend. We follow him as he prepares for the races: on the team bus, during the race, and in post-race massage, as he rediscovers the cobbled classics.

He speaks openly about the illness that kept him off the bike for so long and how it felt to watch the races he loves on television. After going through “the hardest time” of his career, he is now more motivated than ever to fight for a strong result in his dream race: Paris-Roubaix.
