"It has been a great week for both me and the team. Our goal was to try to win a stage and consistently be in contention during the finales, so to come away with three stage victories is incredible," said Veenhoven. "Today's sprint wasn't quite as convincing as yesterday's, but fortunately that didn't affect the outcome. I'm really happy I managed to pull it off again."

"Margaux and I made the right decisions about which wheels to follow in the finale. With around 600 meters to go, I chose the wheels of Zoe Bäckstedt and Lotte Kopecky. I know I have to be confident enough to ride my own sprint, and that's exactly what I did today. Maybe I launched my sprint a little too early, but I'd rather go early than wait too long and get boxed in."

The bonus seconds earned during the stage moved Veenhoven up to second overall in the general classification. "The GC wasn't a target before the race. After the time trial and yesterday's stage win, we realised a strong overall result was still within reach, so we decided to go all in for it today. It's a nice bonus that it worked out. I'm especially happy that all the stages went so well. As a team, we can look back on a fantastic week."

Sports director Joppe de Heij echoed Veenhoven's thoughts. "After the first stage victory we were already delighted, but to add two more after that is simply fantastic," said De Heij. "Nienke once again showed that she is the strongest sprinter in this race. Not only was her sprint technically excellent, but her timing was perfect as well. And when you have the legs on top of that, there's very little anyone can do."

"We came here with the goal of winning a stage. The general classification wasn't one of our objectives, so for Nienke to finish second overall and win the points classification is a tremendous achievement. We leave this race with a lot of confidence and plenty to be proud of."
