For the first time in history, the Grande Partenza headed to Albania. A three stage weekend true the country on the Adriatic sea, which promised to be very exciting with two hilly stages and a time trial. On the first stage, Wout managed to become second in the sprint. Olav also had a strong first week with a second place in the fourth stage. Wilco also managed to take a second place in the seventh stage. On the ninth day of this Giro, Wout rode an amazing stage true the white roads of Tuscany and took the victory in Sienna! Simon managed to keep up with the race's favourites and is sixth in the general classification!
