Team Jumbo-Visma with five speed skaters to World Cup in Nur-Sultan

Five speed skaters of Team Jumbo-Visma will go to the third World Cup of the season. In Nur-Sultan (also known as Astana) Antoinette de Jong, Chris Huizinga, Kjeld Nuis, Patrick Roest and Thomas Krol are going to race on behalf of the team of coach Jac Orie.

The 500m, 1,000m, 1,500m, 5,000m (ladies) and 10,000m (men) are the events at the third World Cup. The men and ladies will also race in the Team Sprint and Team Pursuit.

Sven Kramer, Carlijn Achtereekte, Douwe de Vries and Hein Otterspeer are not going to Nur-Sultan. They stay in Collalbo (Italy) for a training camp. However, Otterspeer is the only speed skater of Team Jumbo-Visma, who is going to the World Cup in Nagano. Next week he will be traveling to Japan.

On December 27th the speed skaters will return to Thialf (Heerenveen) for the National Single Distance Championships.
