Vigié extends contract with Team Visma | Lease a Bike Women by two years

Team Visma | Lease a Bike Women has extended Margaux Vigié’s contract by two years. The 30-year-old rider, part of the team since 2024, will remain in the yellow and black colours until the end of 2027. “Achieving great results together is the most important thing for me.”

The French rider is happy with the extension. “We have fantastic equipment, a great team, an amazing staff and a science-based approach that really suits me.” Vigié feels at home in the team and appreciates the trust she receives. “I get plenty of opportunities to work for the team, but I also get the chance now and then to go for my own result. I really value that.”

Since joining the team, Vigié has made a lot of progress. Her first year got off to a difficult start due to an injury, but things quickly improved afterwards. “I’ve made steps in so many areas: physically, technically, and tactically. I’ve become stronger in my role as a helper and I can read a race very well.”

Her coach, Maarten van Kooij, also sees that development clearly. “Margaux is a smart and reliable rider. She reads the race well, knows how to be in the right place at the right time, and is extremely valuable in positioning our leaders. She enjoys bringing her teammates to the front, but she can also achieve great results herself.” According to Van Kooij, she is an important link in the team.

For the coming seasons, Vigié mainly wants to continue contributing to the team’s success. “Achieving great results together is the most important thing for me,” she says with determination. “I want to keep fulfilling my role as a helper and support my teammates when it really matters. In addition, I hope to occasionally go for my own result. That makes my work as a rider complete.”
