Tour riders continue Tour de France preparations with Criterium du Dauphiné

Tour riders continue Tour de France preparations with Criterium du Dauphiné

Our Tour riders will continue their journey to the Tour de France with the Criterium du Dauphiné. The five-day World Tour race is an important preparation towards the Tour de France.

In the Tour de l’Ain, the riders already showed that they have excellent legs. Primoz Roglic won two out of three stages and took the stage race title after strong teamwork.

George Bennett also rode the Tour de l’Ain last week. In the coming days he will race in Gran Piemonte and Il Lombardia. Sepp Kuss and Wout van Aert will join the group.

Tom Dumoulin: “After the Tour de l’Ain, the Dauphiné is the next race in our preparation towards the Tour de France. But that does not mean that we will approach it as a training competition. We are going to try to win again. If that opportunity presents itself, we will make use of it. But that will certainly not be easy. In any case, there will be more competition than last weekend in the Tour de l’Ain.”
