Nutrition is more enjoyable and easier for Markus with FoodCoach

Nutrition is more enjoyable and easier for Markus with FoodCoach

For Riejanne Markus, using FoodCoach has become a daily habit. "I know that with the app, I have a guideline to rely on, even during my rest periods when I'm at home a lot. It provides stability and certainty."

"I open the FoodCoach app every day. During multi-day races or training camps, I do it more often than when I'm at home during a rest period, but even then, I check the app at least once a day. I often find inspiration for my breakfast from it", Markus says.

I have been using FoodCoach for four years now, and it has become a kind of routine for me. Although I may only open the app once a day at home, I still follow the five meal moments that FoodCoach advice. Nowadays, I have a pretty good idea of what my body needs on different days."

How do you handle nutrition on training days compared to rest days?

"In the beginning, I found it more difficult. On heavy training days, you can eat quite a lot, but during rest periods, it was harder to gauge. Now that I also use the FoodCoach guidelines at home, I find it easier to maintain a stable weight outside of competitions.

That's very beneficial. As cyclists, we are constantly concerned about weight. Every kilogram more or less can impact our performance on the bike. It's great that with the guidance of FoodCoach, I can avoid excessive fluctuations in weight during rest periods."

"FoodCoach has made nutrition more enjoyable and easier for me"

Riejanne Markus

"At home, I mainly open FoodCoach to get ideas for my breakfast. I might search for oatmeal recipes, for example, and pick one that appeals to me. The great thing about FoodCoach is that it has a wide variety of recipes in the app, allowing me to eat very diversely."

What is the biggest advantage of FoodCoach for you?

"The biggest advantage of FoodCoach for me is that it has made nutrition more enjoyable and easier because now I better understand what my body needs. Additionally, I know that with the app, I always have a guideline to rely on, even during my rest periods when I'm at home a lot. It provides stability and certainty."
