The Athletes FoodCoach Premium app off to a flying start

The Athletes FoodCoach Premium app off to a flying start

Top sports are closely linked to a tailor-made diet. Launching The Athletes FoodCoach Premium app makes this possible for everyone. The mobile app got off to a flying start last week with over nineteen hundred registrations. "Train hard, eat smart. You cannot separate these things for us."

The riders of Team Visma | Lease a Bike have already used the tool in their quest for overall victory in the Giro d'Italia, Tour de France and Vuelta a España. Now, the application is available to any amateur with sporting ambitions. "Users eat very varied and precisely", Robert Jan Koens, director of The Athletes FoodCoach, says. "It's for advanced cyclists and runners, but also for people who want to run a (half) marathon for the first time or participate in the Alpe d'HuZes. Together, we feed our dreams."

"It is heavenly"

Cian Uijtdebroeks

Cyclist Cian Uijtdebroeks, new to Team Visma | Lease a Bike, is also an enthusiastic user of the app The Athletes FoodCoach Premium. "I've only been with the team for a short time, but I can't help but rave about it. We ate pizza and beetroot burgers at the last training camp using the app. It was heavenly. As an athlete, you won't get anywhere if you don't get certain nutritional values like proteins, carbohydrates and fats right. When you've already been training for hours during the day, you often don't have the time or inclination to put much effort into preparing a meal. The app makes it easy and helps you achieve your goals", the affable Belgian says.

"Basic nutrition is essential in sports", Team Visma | Lease a Bike sports director Merijn Zeeman says. "The great thing about the app is that it constantly adapts. It is a very flexible tool. The app automatically calculates if you have missed a meal or are short on calories. So, at the end of the day, you're on track. We also used the app during the 2022 Tour de France. Jonas Vingegaard went above and beyond to win the race. The app will help athletes of all levels achieve their athletic goals. After all, nutrition makes a huge contribution to performance."

Within the Visma | Lease a Bike team, The Athletes FoodCoach Premium app is used with great pleasure and conviction. Foodcoach Monique Van de Velde: "The app makes it easier to monitor your energy balance and ensures that you get enough nutrients and energy. The riders rave about it. It gives them more peace of mind and satisfaction. All they have to do is follow the guidelines in the app. It is super easy and has a low threshold. Everything is built into the app, so there is a lot of variety. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of different recipes to suit everyone's needs. Anyone can use The Athletes FoodCoach app to work on their diet with a clear goal in mind.

"We have a lot of innovations planned"

Robert Jan Koens

The app is off to a flying start with over nineteen hundred registrations. "We were hoping to have about a thousand subscribers by the end of March," says Koens. "We hope to welcome many more subscribers in the coming period. We have a lot of innovations planned for the coming period. The smart app, which already works with Strava and Garmin, among others, helps athletes of all levels easily achieve their personal goals. Nutrition is a project you have to start on time."

The The Athletes FoodCoach Premium app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store and used with a ten euro monthly subscription. The annual price is fifty euros.
