Roglic Slovenian Athlete of the Year, Van Aert wins Kristallen Fiets

Primoz Roglic is Slovenian Athlete of the Year 2020. The rider received the most votes of the Association of Slovenian Sports Journalists. Wout van Aert has won the Kristallen Fiets after receiving the most votes of the Belgian expert jury. He's also the best Belgian Sportsman of the Year.

"Super happy to receive the award for the best male athlete of Slovenia in 2020. Honored to be in this place for second consecutive year", Roglic said.

This year, he won four stages and the general classification in the Vuelta a Espana, a stage in the Tour de France and Liège-Bastogne-Liège amongst others.

Last Monday, Roglic became the best Slovenian Cyclist of the year together with Tadej Pogacar.

It's the first time Van Aert wins the Kristallen Fiets. "It's great to add this award to my palmares. I'm happy I've always been ambitious and that I've dared to take on new challenges. That has brought me where I am now."

Earlier, he won the Belgian National Sports Merit Award 2020
