Team Visma | Lease a Bike extends partnership with McKinsey
Team Visma | Lease a Bike and McKinsey are extending their partnership in the areas of technology and performance. The collaboration focuses on the further development of solutions that contribute to better performance, both on and off the bike.
In addition, QuantumBlack, McKinsey’s AI arm with roots in Formula 1, is working with the team to translate complex race data into directly actionable insights. This helps coaches and riders receive the right information at the right moment to make decisions and act on them immediately. In a sport where margins are often measured in seconds, that can make a significant difference.
The collaboration between Team Visma | Lease a Bike and McKinsey began in 2024, with the shared ambition to further innovate and develop on the team’s performance. Since then, both parties have worked together on solutions that enable race scenarios to be simulated more quickly, helping coaches and riders arrive at the start line better informed.
"We’re creating a new way to race"
“In our sport, small decisions can have a massive impact,” says Richard Plugge, CEO of Team Visma | Lease a Bike. “By combining our racing expertise with QuantumBlack and its heritage in Formula 1, we’re creating a new way to race.”
"QuantumBlack makes it easier for us to determine the right tactics"
