About Olav Kooij

In the cycling world, Olav Kooij is regarded as an up-and-coming talent. Kooij, only 22 years old, has been racing for Team Visma | Lease a Bike for the past three years after first competing for the squad's Development Team. The top sprinter has already been able to add several triumphs in various stages to his resume. Kooij experienced his greatest victory at the Giro d'Italia, where he won his first stage in a Grand Tour. The sprinter achieved great success in 2021, winning a bronze medal at the U23 World Championships.
