Unlike a football team, a cycling team does not have its own stadium, packed with supporters. Fans can often only watch the race by once and with that, contact with the riders is over after a few minutes. Team Visma | Lease a Bike changes this. "We visit the team presentation and the start with the guests, where everyone can take a photo with their favourite rider. Then our guests are taken by vans to different places along the course," Vinck explains. At those places, you have the opportunity to, among other things, indicate a water bottle yourself. That way, as a guest, you actually become part of Team Visma | Lease a Bike and contribute to our success. And anyone who thought the hospitality experience ended there is wrong. "At the end of the race, we gather at the finish line to get an exclusive insight into everything that happens at the finish line. Finally, we go to the team bus where we have an extensive after-party and where a glass of champagne is drunk if we win," says Vinck.

In recent years, Team Visma | Lease a Bike has achieved many successes, including two Tour de France victories in a row. Of course, this also produces some wonderful moments. "The stage where Pogacar cracked was a very special one," says Vinck. "The moment when you are together in the van with the guests and everyone experiences it so intensely together is just magical. You only know most of the guests for half a day, yet you feel the connection and that same passion. That's something you really have to experience for yourself and something I can recommend to everyone."
