Preview GP Cycliste de Québec & GP Cycliste de Montreal (13/9 & 15/9)

This weekend, the UCI World Tour continues with the GP Cycliste de Québec (13/9) and the GP Cycliste de Montreal (15/9).

Last year, Team Jumbo-Visma displayed some great power in both races. Timo Roosen subsequently finished fourth in Quebec and fifth in Montreal. Both times in a reduced bunch sprint.

This year, Roosen is again one of the riders to keep an eye on in the team of Nico Verhoeven.

“I hope to do at least as good as last year”, Roosen says. “I particularly like Quebec, with the short hills and an slightly uphill finish. I have done these races three times before, so I know how to handle them. Montreal is two laps longer this year. I wonder if that will also make the course harder. And especially whether it will make the favourites attack sooner. I am feeling okay and I already noticed in the Deutschland Tour that my real form is coming back.”

Team Jumbo-Visma will travel to Canada with a combative team. Roosen will be joined by Laurens De Plus, Jonas Vingegaard, Danny van Poppel, Antwan Tolhoek, Tom Leezer and Paul Martens.
