Team LottoNL-Jumbo flies under the radar in Norway’s mountainous stage

Team LottoNL-Jumbo flew under the radar in the mountainous third stage of the Tour of Norway today. The sprint train of Dylan Groenewegen was content to finish the stage in the peloton. Pieter Weening won the stage and took the lead in overall ranking, Timo Roosen led LottoNL-Jumbo into Lillehammer in 53rd.

"The third stage was really something for climbers and we do not have them here,” Sports Director Nico Verhoeven said.

“We rode the stage and tried to save energy because tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, we will have opportunities to win with the sprint train and Dylan Groenewegen."

The stage tomorrow to Sarpsborg, 192 kilometres, ends with a technical final that will require all of the team’s strength to deliver another Groenewegen win.
