Travelling
Is the flight via the Netherlands included and/or mandatory?
No, the trip is not included in the package. We do make a suggestion for a possible flight in our program. You can book your flight yourself through our travel partner Smart Business Travel. More information about this can be found below under 'Who arranges my flight?'.
Who arranges my flight?
We ask you to book the flight yourself. If desired, this can be done through our partner Smart Business Travel. They look at the possibilities together with you and advise you on the most suitable flight. Invoicing is done via Team Jumbo-Visma.
Please include the code you receive from us for the specific rate with your request.
I like to come with my own transport. Is that possible?
Yes, it is possible to travel with your own car. In that case, keep in mind that after the race we don't always return to the hotel where we left in the morning. Therefore, check the hotel stays in the program. We always drive to the hotel where we stay that night. A transfer from the finish place back to the starting place does not facilitate Team Jumbo-Visma.
Transfer
Where will I be picked up when I land?
We only arrange transfer from the recommended airports. Are you landing at another airport? Then we ask you to arrange a transfer to the hotel yourself.
The hotel
What kind of hotel room can I expect?
The rooms we reserve are intended for single use. Would you like to stay in a room with two people? Please let us know and we will check with the hotel whether a twin room is available.
How many hotel nights are included in the package?
A standard package consists of one night and one dinner. Additional costs apply for a possible second night and dinner.
NB:
Partners of Team Jumbo-Visma always pay the full accommodation costs, including the first night.
Restaurant
I have a dietary requirement or allergy. Do you take that into account?
You can inform us of dietary requirements and allergies during the registration procedure. We make sure that the hotel receives it, so that the restaurants can take it into account. To be on the safe side, we advise you to pass on your wishes / allergies to the restaurant staff on site.
Covid
Which measures apply?
As a team, we adhere to the rules that apply at the location of the relevant match and expect the same from our guests.
Cancel
I can't go anyway. Can someone else take my place?
Yes, that is possible, provided that this has been communicated to us in advance.
Will I get my money back if I cancel?
That depends entirely on the situation. You can find more information about this in our cancellation conditions.
The program
When will I receive the latest information?
One week prior to the stage you will receive an e-mail with the practical details concerning your program. This program is a guideline. The exact times are ultimately determined by the course of the stage, traffic, etc.
We always provide the latest details via the Telegram group of the relevant stage. You will find the link for this in the program.
The Cycling Experience
What is the Cycling Experience?
Only during the Tour de France:
Together with the other hospitality guests and our host, you cycle a beautiful loop in the vicinity of the hotel on the day before the stage you are visiting. The distance and speed are determined in consultation with the participants. Usually that comes down to a lap of thirty to sixty kilometers at a not too high speed (25/28 kilometers per hour).
It is not necessary to be in top physical condition. Enjoyment comes first. It is useful if you have a little bit of cycling experience.
Do I have to bring my own bicycle?
No, we provide a bicycle from the team.
Do I have to provide my own shoes, helmet and clothing?
We will arrange the helmets. You are supposed to bring your own cycling clothes and cycling shoes. Our bikes will be equipped with Shimano road pedals. If you have Look, Time or Speedplay, you need to bring your own pedals. You are not allowed to ride the bike with sneakers.
