2021 and 2022
Johannes joined the Development Team of Team Visma | Lease a Bike in 2021. In his first two seasons, the Lillehammer-born cyclist achieved several impressive placings in prestigious under-23 races. In October 2022, Johannes even won the overall classification of the Ronde de l'Isard, after finishing as runner-up in the Tour de l'Avenir shortly before that.

2023 and 2024
2023 is the breakthrough year for Johannes. Alongside winning the Giro del Belvedere, Johannes also claims the overall classification in the Giro Next Gen. In the stage over the legendary Passo dello Stelvio, Johannes achieves a double victory. Later in the year, the Norwegian also secures his first professional win in the Czech Tour. In 2024, Johannes embarks on his first full year in the WorldTour.
