Jan is part of a winning team several times in 2023. For example, he is one of the engines in the team that rushes to win the team time trial in both Paris - Nice and the Vuelta a Burgos. He is also a part of the team that makes history in the Vuelta a España, capturing all the podium places with Sepp Kuss, Jonas Vingegaard and Primoz Roglic.

Jan is having an excellent start to 2024. In Omloop het Nieuwsblad at the end of February, the Slovenian promptly booked his first victory in the service of Team Visma | Lease a Bike. Jan also rode the Giro d'Italia, where he attacked several times, and was also part of the eight-man selection of Team Visma | Lease a Bike in the Tour de France. He also rides to a top ten ranking in the Olympic road race.
