A look back on a succesful week in Germany and Belgium

A look back on a succesful week in Germany and Belgium

Team Visma | Lease a Bike wrapped up five days of action-packed racing yesterday at both the Deutschland Tour and the Renewi Tour, which brought three stage victories and strong overall results. Take a look back at some of our highlights from the past week.

It all started with a bang in Germany.

After Wout van Aert’s fifth place in the ultra-explosive prologue, Matthew Brennan stole the show with a powerful sprint, edging Jonathan Milan across the line by just a tire’s width on stage one.

Just a few minutes later, it was Olav Kooij who sprinted to a commanding victory on stage two of the Renewi Tour.

Some beautiful team work set up Kooij for the win, just one day after hitting the tarmac in the finale of stage one.

 /

More solid results in Belgium.

Kooij carried his strong form into the queen stage to the Muur van Geraardsbergen, taking an impressive tenth place, before adding another podium the following day in a lightning-fast finish.

 /

And a perfect ending in Magdeburg.

Finally, Matthew Brennan put the finishing touch on a remarkable week for Team Visma | Lease a Bike, sprinting to his second stage win at the Deutschland Tour after a brilliant lead-out on the fourth stage.
