Carlijn’s time at Team Visma | Lease a Bike
Three and a half year at Team Visma Lease a Bike is coming to an end for Carlijn Achtereekte, who will retire after the season. The loyal Dutch domestique has helped her teammates to multiple triumphs in some of the biggest races of the season, and completed the Giro d’Italia Women in 2024. Carlijn became a professional bike racer after a hugely successful career as an ice skater, where she even won Olympic gold in 2018.
