Last week, the women's team of Team Jumbo-Visma rode a successful La Vuelta Femenina. The riders caused a surprise in the opening stage by winning the team time trial, which allowed Anna Henderson to wear the 'Maillot Roja' in stage two. After stage two, this red jersey was taken over by double stage winner Marianne Vos, who held the lead until stage five. Riejanne Markus ultimately finished in a respectable fourth place in the general classification. Vos took home the victory in the points classification and the prize for the most combative rider.
