After fifteen stages, the second week of the Tour de France has come to an end. The past week was dominated by flat stages, in which the sprinters had their last chances to claim a stage victory. With the start of the weekend, the peloton officially entered the high mountains, but the fifteenth stage was overshadowed by a serious crash involving Jonas Vingegaard. The Dane suffered a broken collarbone in the crash, forcing him to withdraw from the Tour.
