Looking back at Milan-Sanremo and Grand Prix de Denain

Looking back at Milan-Sanremo and Grand Prix de Denain

As usual, on Monday we look back at the races of the past week. Thursday 17 March the Grand Prix de Denain was on the programme, Saturday the Italian classic Milan-Sanremo.

Grand Prix de Denain

Denain is a cobbled stage that was a dress rehearsal for the Roglic-Vingegaard duo for the Tour de France. The 32-year-old Slovenian rider of Team Jumbo-Visma took part in the final with a leading group of five and seemed to be on his way to a place of honour but was caught just before the finish.

Milan-Sanremo

Until just before the final of Milan-sanremo Jos Van Emden took the lead of the peloton for kilometres. Wout van Aert finished eighth.
