On Sunday, Tobias Foss caused a resounding surprise by winning the world time trial championships. In Wollongong, Australia, he beat all his competitors and was the fastest. The golden race was the first professional victory in international cycling for the Norwegian from Team Jumbo-Visma. Time to look back!

In addition to Foss, Team Jumbo-Visma was also represented with Edoardo Affini. The Italian clocked the thirteenth time. In Australia, the 25-year-old Foss experienced the peak of his still young career as a professional cyclist and can now wear the rainbow jersey in every time trial for a year!

Team Jumbo-Visma also had two riders in this section with Mick van Dijke (Netherlands) and Michel Hessmann (Germany). Hessmann rode a strong time trial and finished in a creditable fifth place. Van Dijke set good times at the two intermediate points, but had problems with his equipment in the final part of the race and did not get further than the eighteenth place.
