Thank you, Eva

Thank you, Eva

After three years with Team Visma | Lease a Bike, Eva van Agt now waves goodbye to her teammates in black and yellow to continue her career at FDJ Suez. The Dutch all-rounder had a successful time as a Bee, growing into an important domestique in the Tour de France Femmes, while also delivering strong individual results when given the chance.

2023

Eva signed her first contract with Team Visma | Lease a Bike for the 2023 season, just a few years after switching from hockey to cycling. Already in her first professional season with Le Col - Wahoo, she completed the Tour de France Femmes, showing her natural talent for the sport. That talent was put to use right away at our team, as her first spring in yellow and black included classics such as Strade Bianche, Gent-Wevelgem, Dwars door Vlaanderen, Tour of Flanders, and Liège-Bastogne-Liège. She performed well in the major one-day races and also contributed to the team time trial victory on the opening stage of La Vuelta Femenina, which earned her a call-up for the Tour de France Femmes once again. There, she made it into the select front group on the second stage, but later crashed hard on a descent, bringing her Tour to an early end. She returned to the peloton at the end of the season for a few races before turning her focus to 2024.

2024

In the spring of 2024, Eva focused mainly on the hillier Ardennes classics, riding on the cobbles only in Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. She made it into the breakaway in Liège-Bastogne-Liège and came close to another team time trial victory in the Vuelta a España Femenina, before taking fifth place in the Egmont Cycling Race - a race won by teammate Lieke Nooijen. Near the end of the season, Eva fought for the win on stage four of the Simac Ladies Tour but was beaten in the sprint by her breakaway companions.

2025

The cobbled classics returned to Eva’s schedule this year, as she rode an extensive spring program, taking 15th in Dwars door Vlaanderen and 5th in the Festival Elsy Jacobs in Garnich along the way. Shortly after, more strong results followed in the Tour of Norway and the Volta a Catalunya Femenina. In Norway, Eva took sixth on the summit finish of stage one and finished fourth overall, while in Catalunya she was only beaten by one rider on the final stage to Barcelona. She continued her impressive season by riding both the Giro d’Italia Women and the Tour de France Femmes, famously helping Pauline Ferrand-Prévot to victory in the latter, before concluding a memorable final season with Team Visma | Lease a Bike with a series of one-day races. After three great years, Eva now continues her career at FDJ Suez - and we wish her all the best. Thank you, Eva.
