The Giro on Hungarian soil through the eyes of the team

The 105th Giro d'Italia started in Budapest on Friday. For three stages, a pink coloured cloud descended on Hungary.

Stage 1

Team Jumbo-Visma managed to get through a hectic opening stage unscathed.

Stage 2 - ITT

In a time trial more than nine kilometres long, Tom Dumoulin finished in third place. The Dutch time trial champion moved up to third place in the general classification. Tobias Foss finished the time trial in sixth place and moved up to seventh in the classification. Team Jumbo-Visma scored strongly in the individual time trial and won the day's team classification.

Stage 3

The team got through stage three without any problems. Pascal Eenkhoorn made an attempt to take the mountain jersey and tried to avoid a bunch sprint, but was caught at six kilometres from the finish. For the second day in a row Team Jumbo-Visma won the day's team classification.

It were busy days for the mechanics, soigneurs, food coaches and all the other staff members of Team Jumbo-Visma.
