Wout van Aert wins his first race of the season in the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. Team Jumbo-Visma also had a strong showing in Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne and the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad for women.

Van Aert could immediately put his hands in the air in the first race of his road season. After strong teamwork and a fifteen kilometre solo, the Belgian crossed the line in Ninove first.

Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne

Christophe Laporte immediately showed himself in his first race in the yellow and black of Team Jumbo-Visma. He rode in the attack for a long time and was only caught by the sprinters just before the finish. The Frenchman managed to get an eighth place out of it.

Anna Henderson was in the attack for a long time in the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad for women. In the end she was unable to sprint for victory. With seventh place the British rider did get the best result possible.
