Recovering Belletta stays another year with Team Visma | Lease a Bike Development

Dario Belletta, who is recovering from a jaw fracture, will also race for Team Visma | Lease a Bike Development next season. The 20-year-old Italian extended his contract by one year.

Next year, Belletta will enter his third year with Team Visma | Lease a Bike Development. During his first year and a half with the team, he showed himself to be a true all-rounder. As a first-year under-23 rider, he placed third in both the road race and the time trial at the Italian championships. Additionally, he has already shown his potential in professional races at the .1 level.

“Dario has had quite a bit of bad luck in his first year and a half, but we still have great confidence in him,” said head of development Robbert de Groot. “Because of this bad luck, his development has been somewhat delayed, but we believe that this means he still has a lot of room for progress. We look forward to working with him for a longer period.”

“I am very happy to stay with the team longer, that is what I wanted,” says Belletta himself. “In the past year and a half, I have already learned a lot about training, nutrition, and race tactics. I am convinced that I will become a better rider here. I am looking forward to finishing this season well and preparing for 2025.”
