Boven scores twice in second stage of Flanders Tomorrow Tour

Lars Boven has won the stage in the second stage of the Flanders Tomorrow Tour. The Dutchman also took the lead in the general classification.

For Boven it is his first win of the season. Today's victory meant the fourth victory of the season for the Jumbo-Visma Development Team. The 21-year-old racer finished third in the opening stage, but a day later, he was on top of the podium. "Yesterday, I was already close and I felt I was good. Today, the plan was to make it a hard race, which worked out pretty well. The whole team deserves a compliment for that. In the end, Colby, Jesse, and I were in a sizable breakaway with some classification riders. Finally, two kilometres before the finish, we rode away with two other guys. The peloton got close, but fortunately I stayed ahead of everyone else today", Boven said.

Tomorrow is the final day of the Flanders Tomorrow Tour. A time trial is scheduled for the morning. The race will end with a stage in line in the afternoon.
