Koster climbs to eighth place in second stage of Simac Ladies Tour

Anouska Koster has finished tenth in the second time trial of the Simac Ladies Tour. The Frisian clocked a time of 22:12 in the seventeen kilometre time trial in Gennep. She had to concede one and a half minute to stage winner Marlen Reusser. As a result, she climbed to eighth place in the general classification.

Marianne Vos finished in sixteenth place. With three stages to go, the Dutch rider is tenth in the general ranking.

Koster, who finished close to the winning time of teammate Vos during the prologue of two days earlier, was surprised by her own performance. “I did not expect this. The plan was to ride in a steady way with the team. I had a good pacing plan and rode very steady and technical. I have not trained much on my time trial bike. Normally I am more interested in a course with a lot of corners. The idea for this time trial was to ride stable and technically well and to pace well. I did not expect to finish tenth with that.”
