Pattinson takes home British U23 time trial title

Tomos Pattinson has become national time trial champion. The 18-year-old Briton from Team Visma | Lease a Bike Development proved the fastest in Catterick.

Pattinson eventually completed the thirty kilometer course in just over 42 minutes. With that, he was ten seconds faster than Ben Wiggins and seventeen seconds faster than Joshua Golliker.

"This is a very cool achievement"

"This is fairly unexpected," Pattinson jubilated after taking the title. "Obviously, I'm more than happy with it. I haven't had a lot of races on the time trial bike yet. It's actually only my first race against the clock in 2024. The course suited me, though. The support I got from different people was down to the last detail. I am very grateful to everyone for that. This is really a very cool achievement."
