On the second day, the riders faced a 150-kilometre stage between Międzyzdroje and Szczecin. Just like in the opening stage, the route was relatively flat. That gave the sprinters another opportunity to battle for the stage victory. 

Immediately after the start, Schiffer, who is racing his first season as a professional, went on the attack. The Team Visma | Lease a Bike rider was joined by his compatriot Jonas Rutsch. Not long afterwards, Polish riders Patryk Stosz and Radosław Frątczak also made the connection. The peloton gave the quartet little space. Schiffer and his fellow escapees were eventually caught 20 kilometres from the finish. After a fast finale, Milan once again proved to be the fastest sprinter, securing his second consecutive stage victory. 

“Today, we opted for the same tactics as yesterday, so once again we went all-in for the attack,” Schiffer reflected. “It was another stage for the pure sprinters, so we had to try it in a different way. Today, I gave everything to make it into the early breakaway. The first attack immediately turned out to be the right one. It was my first time attacking as a professional rider at the highest level, so that was special. I’m really enjoying this experience in a stage race on the WorldTour.”
